                                                              Biographical Sketch

Pastor Mark A. Barfield is a native  of Enfield, North Carolina. He resides in Garysburg, North Carolina with his wife, the Reverend Ella Hamiel Barfield. They share the joy of two sons: Markus and Desmond.

Graduated from Northwest Halifax High School Littleton, North Carolina, Pastor Mark A. Barfield furthered his education at Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, North Carolina by attaining a Bachelor of Arts in English Education. His love for children and society is expressed through his employment as an English teacher at Northampton County High School East, Conway, NC.

Responding to the divine call of God led Pastor Mark A. Barfield to serve as pastor for the Mount Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, North Carolina and the First Baptist Church Conway, Conway, North Carolina. The highlights of his ministry are being able to share the "Good News" of Jesus with everyone and to be a living testimony of the goodness of God. His testimony is 'If I can Help Somebody, Then my Living shall not be in Vain.'
